Neobanks and fraud risk
While Neobanks have made it easier and more convenient to bank online, they also come with some risks. One of the biggest risks is fraud. Neobanks are attractive targets for fraudsters because they often have weak or nonexistent fraud prevention measures in place. This means that if you use a Neobank, you could be at risk of having your account hacked or your information stolen.
How to protect yourself from Neobank fraud
There are a few things you can do to help protect yourself from Neobank fraud:
- Avoid using public Wi-Fi when logging into your Neobank account.
- Enable two-factor authentication on your account.
- Be aware of the signs of Neobank fraud, such as unusual account activity or unexpected charges.
- Monitor your account regularly for any suspicious activity.
- Contact your Neobank immediately if you suspect that your account has been hacked or compromised.
